It is absolutely right to be passionate about a cause. And great men before us have only succeed with passion – exhibiting strong and barely controllable emotions towards some goal(s).
So, is being passionate about a goal enough to succeed? It is a yes or no.
Passion is one of the right ingredients you need in any quest to solve problems and make an impact.
But when you work with others, what you may be passionate about may not be the group/organization/company’s goal. And when you focus too much on your passions without understanding the overall agenda, you will miss the drill, be isolated pursuing a different goal without recognition.
Therefore, in an organization, your passions can’t only help you make an impact. Recognize what is important and needed to be done and be passionate about that for impact.
