The acclaimed Reggae Star, Culture has a song titled as above with the chorus “Each and everyday time is getting harder,
Some of them a halla, some a bawl” (x2).
Remarkably today, things are getting harder each day leaving many with limited options on how to survive.
The temptation of engaging in unethical and sometimes, illegal acts may be justified in these circumstances as a necessity – but does not make the acts right and lawful.
Of great hope even in Culture’s song is not that “things are permanently hard”.
So continue to build life and engage in work founded on values of integrity and ethics.
The rewards may not be immediate. But the freedom you desire to surmount hard times will be guaranteed.
Choose “right” over “wrong” and live by it always even in difficult times.
